A beautiful and practical piece of furniture, created to classic designs, but with a bespoke twist.

The Windsor ‘story-teller’ chair shown below was a gift to a primary school from a family who were forever grateful for their children’s education over the years, while the classic dining chair shown underneath was a gift for a wife with the seat carved in sympathy with her bottom!

Both chairs were created using the traditional chair-making techniques of a treadle powered pole lathe and a shaving horse for shaping particular components. The green woodwork technique of steam bending was used for creating the bows to the chair back.
